Meet the Exhibitor: Cocohouse

Meet the Exhibitor: Cocohouse

Cocohouse creates artisan luxury hot chocolate inspired by travel, history and a passion for exceptional cocoa.

The company’s story began in 2019, when its founder discovered a delicious spiced hot chocolate while visiting the Dominican Republic. A return trip in 2024 led to visits to cocoa farms and chocolate factories, sparking the idea of developing a distinctive Caribbean-inspired blend for the UK market.

Cocohouse’s hot chocolates are deliberately made with less sweetness, allowing customers to enjoy the natural character of the cocoa or add sugar according to taste. Its collection comprises six blends: 100% Cocoa, Caribbean Spice with cinnamon, cloves and ginger, Seriously Indulgent, Deliciously Dark, Golden Turmeric and the tropical Coconut White.

Each blend is made and packed in small batches using carefully selected ingredients. The company’s organic Fairtrade cocoa is sourced from a cooperative in Peru and was chosen after an extensive tasting process involving cocoa powders from around the world.

The brand’s distinctive compostable kraft packaging combines a vintage aesthetic with playful storytelling. One design reimagines Marie Antoinette—famously associated with a love of hot chocolate—in modern leggings and a yoga pose, reflecting both the brand’s sense of humour and cocoa’s natural qualities.

Since launching, Cocohouse has continued to refine its recipes and presentation using valuable feedback from customers, friends and family. What began as a passion project has developed into a growing artisan business with a dedicated production kitchen and an expanding network of independent retail customers.

Following a successful previous appearance at Speciality & Fine Food Fair, which helped introduce the brand to new buyers and generate a busy Christmas trading period, Cocohouse is returning better prepared for further growth. The company looks forward to meeting retailers, buyers and fellow food and drink professionals at the Fair in London.
