"Seimei” Japanese Tea from Kagoshima

Hall: Ground Stand: 1418
Kagoshima Prefecture stands at the forefront of Japan’s tea industry, harvesting around 27,000 tonnes of aracha (crude tea) each year. Thanks to its mild climate and wide fields, the region grows not only the popular Yabukita variety but also Yutakamidori, Saemidori, and more. Recently, Seimei, ideal for matcha, has also gained attention. Known for its vivid colour and rich umami, Kagoshima tea reflects the region’s vibrant character.
