Builin Blasta
Builín Blasta is an award-winning, female-founded food business based in Galway, on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. What began as a bustling Irish language café and bakery has evolved into a thriving food manufacturing brand known for its bold, gourmet condiments, handmade with care in small batches.

Our flagship product, the Smoked Onion Mayo, has become a cult favourite and a multi-award winner, including Gold at Blas na hÉireann 2024 and a Great Taste Award, thanks to our unique process of slow-smoking onions in-house with a proprietary wood blend. We also produce a range of complementary condiments including Spicy Smoked Onion Mayo, Smoked Onion Salsa, Pineapple Chilli Chutney, and a trio of handcrafted dressings (Caesar, Honey Mustard, and Balsamic), all created to elevate everyday meals with gourmet flavour.

Our roots in hospitality set us apart. Every product we make is developed from real-life feedback in our café kitchen – meaning it’s chef-tested, customer-approved, and designed for both flavour and functionality. We cater to retail, food service, and gifting markets, offering versatility across multiple sales channels.

Since entering the retail market in 2019, we’ve grown from a small-scale operation to a national and now international brand. Our products are available in select Tesco and Dunnes stores in Ireland, and we are actively growing our presence in the UK, with listings in premium delis, farm shops, and gourmet grocers.

At Builín Blasta, we believe that great food should be honest, flavourful, and a little unexpected. That’s why we take pride in our sustainability practices, our hands-on production methods, and our commitment to supporting local suppliers wherever possible.

The Next Chapter for Speciality & Fine Food Fair

From 2027, Speciality & Fine Food Fair will take place 5 – 7 April at Excel London, as part of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week to be the UK’s largest food & drink trade event.

This exciting move will connect our incredible community of speciality producers and buyers with 25,000+ verified trade visitors, creating even more opportunities for products to be discovered, tasted and stocked by buyers across retail, hospitality, wholesale and foodservice.

To prepare for this exciting launch, the Fair will not be taking place in 2026, returning in its new format in 2027.

While the scale grows, the heart of the Fair stays the same - a curated showcase of exceptional producers and a spirit of discovery, now with even greater commercial reach.

We’re incredibly excited about this next chapter and can’t wait to build it with you.
