This is a gentle and mellow cheese that often has hints of cheddar. Notes of Citrus and nutty undertones are often mentioned. Whilst some describe it as having flavours of Comte of Gruyere.
This cheese is matured for around 4 months. Achieving several accolades including a Gold at the British Cheese Awards.
Woodside Red is versatile and not only enjoyed on a cheeseboard, but also, used in cooking. Pair it with a chilled Beaujolais or Fleurie.
