75% Wild Beniano Chocolate Beni, Bolivia
This exquisite dark chocolate bar, crafted from wild-harvested Beniano cacao from the Bolivian Amazon, beautifully carries the flavours and aromatics of the rainforest. Extremely rare, this wild heirloom variety of cacao is known for its rich complexity and dense flavour. We work directly with the local communities who harvest and ferment these beans using traditional practices passed down through generations. We also work closely with Volker Lehmann, champion of Bolivian cacao, who expertly harvests, dries and selects the beans at the Tranquilidad Wild Cacao Forest Hacienda. They are then transformed into the exquisite Kindred Forest bar in Cornwall by Chocolarder, one of the UK’s finest chocolate makers. 20% of profits from each bar are reinvested into the Theobroma Foundation, to protect the ancient forests, their biodiversity and the communities whose livelihoods depend on it.
