Ivy’s Reserve Wins ‘Great Taste Award’ and Celebrates Double Gold at the International Cheese & Dairy Awards 2025
Bruton, Somerset; 10th July 2025 - Ivy’s Reserve, the heritage Somerset brand, is proud to announce that its Salted Farmhouse Butter has won a Great Taste Award from the Guild of Fine Food, a globally respected mark of excellence judged purely on flavour, with over 14,000 entries annually.

This recognition follows recent Gold wins at the International Cheese & Dairy Awards (ICDA) 2025 for:

  • Ivy’s Reserve Vintage Cheddar – Best English Creamery Cheddar
  • Ivy’s Reserve Somerset Red – Speciality Cheese, Hard Pressed, UK suppliers

These awards highlight Ivy’s Reserve’s commitment to quality, tradition, and sustainability. Each product is crafted in Somerset using time-honoured recipes and milk from local, Red Tractor assured farms.

Rich Clothier, third-generation cheesemaker and Managing Director, said:
“We’re incredibly proud to see our butter and Cheddars recognised. These awards reflect our team’s passion and our mission to produce exceptional Somerset cheese and butter while caring for our land and community.”

About the Award-Winning Range:

  • Vintage Cheddar – Matured for 18 months, made to a secret family recipe, and the world’s first carbon-neutral branded cheddar.
  • Somerset Red – A richly coloured, distinctive cheese rooted in Somerset’s cheesemaking heritage.
  • Salted Farmhouse Butter – Made from sweet and whey cream, slow-churned in a single churn, and salted with spring water brine from Bruton. Its golden colour and rich flavour have earned it accolades at every show it enters.

Ivy’s Reserve products are available at Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose, and online at ivys-reserve.com.

The Next Chapter for Speciality & Fine Food Fair

From 2027, Speciality & Fine Food Fair will take place 5 – 7 April at Excel London, as part of Food, Drink & Hospitality Week to be the UK’s largest food & drink trade event.

This exciting move will connect our incredible community of speciality producers and buyers with 25,000+ verified trade visitors, creating even more opportunities for products to be discovered, tasted and stocked by buyers across retail, hospitality, wholesale and foodservice.

To prepare for this exciting launch, the Fair will not be taking place in 2026, returning in its new format in 2027.

While the scale grows, the heart of the Fair stays the same - a curated showcase of exceptional producers and a spirit of discovery, now with even greater commercial reach.

We’re incredibly excited about this next chapter and can’t wait to build it with you.
