Spill the Beans Vol. 7 brings together diverse drinks brands, buyers and investors
Spill the Beans Vol. 7 took place on 10 February, bringing together founders, buyers, investors and industry experts for a vibrant celebration of multicultural brands across the food and beverage sector.
Hosted by Food Sauce Media founder Colin Mordi, the event continued its mission to champion producers of all ethnicities by creating direct access to retail opportunities and meaningful industry connections.
Reflecting on the day, Colin said: “No words can truly describe how I’m feeling after hosting Spill the Beans, our event celebrating multicultural brands of all ethnicities. I’m completely overwhelmed and I hope each of you got as much as possible out of the day.
“A massive thank you to our incredible panel: Mex Ibrahim, Josh Puddle, Ian O'Donohue, Harvey Choat, Bethan Thomas, and Harry Amos – your insights and energy made the day unforgettable. Shout out to our venue host Clement La-Touche for keeping everything moving and everyone’s spirits high all day.”
A highlight of the event was a talk from Howard Dawber, Deputy Mayor for Business, who addressed attendees on the work being undertaken within the Greater London Authority (GLA) to support businesses and drive economic growth across London.
Sponsors UK Quality Food Awards, Opply and Scaleform supported the event, reinforcing their commitment to backing diverse and emerging brands within FMCG.
The exhibition floor showcased an array of innovative products from Scaleform, RamTang, OTC Beverages Limited, UCHE Rum, Kloudy Matcha, Ferment Fizz, Bhangra Blends and The Original Teff-ly, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with founders and sample new launches.
The live pitching session once again proved to be a standout moment. Congratulations to Bhangra Blends, GOOD KOFFEE, OTC Beverages Limited, Kloudy Matcha and The Original Teff-ly, who pitched their brands to a panel of industry experts and retail decision-makers.
Thanks also go to the pitching panel: Chefs For Foodies, Kaual Patel, Delia Churnin, To Go Micro Kitchens, Scott Winston, Shepherd's Bush Market and Crowdcube, whose insight and feedback offered valuable guidance to scaling producers.
Spill the Beans continues to provide a platform focused on representation, visibility and access within the food and beverage industry, connecting multicultural producers directly with buyers, investors and corporate partners.
