Borough 22

Borough 22 Doughnuts is a black-owned bakery business in the heart of London’s 22nd Borough, Royal Greenwich led by CEO Ryan Panchoo. Ryan was on a mission to create an all-inclusive delicious treat for his family who had allergies. Ryan originally developed Borough 22 Doughnuts in his domestic kitchen and has been in operation since 2014, supplying Selfridges & Co since 2015 with their award-winning, signature baked vegan gluten-free doughnuts. 

The new fried doughnut recipe was conceived in May 2022 after lengthy and rigorous testing. This is the first ever fried doughnut that is independently lab certified gluten-free, vegan and free from the 14 most common allergens making Borough 22’s Doughnuts the unicorn of the free-from world and enabling all to enjoy it irrespective of dietary concerns.

The product recently received the Free from Product of the Year award at the Free From Food Awards in June 2023.
