Mayfield
Made from pasteurised cow's milk in East Sussex. This cheese is matured for 5 to 7months.
Creamy and pliant, similar to Emmental, with distinctive naturally developed oval-shaped holes called "eyes". Mayfield is noted as one of the first UK whole cheeses with natural eyes.
It offers a creamy, sweet, and nutty flavour. The taste can vary in strength from mild to full depending on its age. It often develops a more full-bodied, fruity flavour as it matures.
Great for cheeseboards, and its melting properties make it excellent for fondues and raclettes.
Mayfield has received numerous accolades, including multiple Gold medals at the British Cheese Awards, World Cheese Awards and the Great Taste Awards.
