celebrating the icons of the speciality food & drink industry

To celebrate our 20th anniversary, we partnered up with Speciality Food magazine and English Heritage to recognise the influential icons of the industry.

All industries have their icons, however the fine food & drink world has some of the most passionate! All have one thing in common - they are driven by a mission, whether it's to promote sustainability, drive the industry forward or to change the food & drink industry as we know it.

A shortlist was selected from hundreds of nominations by Speciality Food magazine readers and the chosen twenty feature individuals across the sector from chefs and producers to retailers and campaigners.

Hosted in the magnificent Wellington Arch on Monday 1st July, the winners were announced and celebrated for their contribution to artisan food & drink.

Event Manager, Elena Attanasio, who announced the awards alongside Speciality Food editor, Holly Shackleton, comments; “There are so many inspirational people in the industry, who have dedicated their careers to promoting artisan food and drink. Every one of our twenty icons have been trailblazers in their respective field. They have all been responsible for ensuring that great quality, artisan food and drink is recognised and valued by a wider audience.
