The UK New Product of the Year Award celebrates a product at Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2024 that has demonstrated creativity and innovation at the heart of its concept. The judges are looking for pioneering credentials, high quality construction, a clear USP and a product that comes from a brand that is constantly innovating and experimenting to inspire its customers.

Criteria: 

  • Must be a newly launched product since our last event (12th September 2023) 

  • Must be from an exhibiting company of the 2024 Fair 

  • Can already be listed with retailers or hospitality operators already 

  • Company must be registered within the UK 

Judging Criteria:

Our judges have selected their top four finalists from our entries, now the power is in the publics hands. The winner will be announced on Tuesday 10th September at Speciality & Fine Food Fair.

Red Leicester - Golden Hooves

Golden Hooves award-winning Red Leicester is not only delicious but also planet-friendly. Driven by First Milk's 700 family-run dairy farms practicing regenerative farming, they ensure high animal welfare, soil protection, and biodiversity. Recognised with B-Corp and the King's Award for Sustainable Development, their cheese embodies taste, appearance, and sustainability.

Matcha Ginger Refresher - The Matcha Yaad

The Matcha Yaad began by pairing Matcha with bold Jamaican flavours, sparking a fusion quest to Okinawa, Japan. After mastering Matcha, they envisioned merging it with Jamaican spices. Subsequently, Matcha Yaad was founded in the UK with their mission to create flavourful, functional beverages, reflecting a commitment to quality, wellness, and cultural harmony. They are also one of the Fair's 25 Rising Stars - curated in partnership with Speciality Food Magazine.

Cacaolasees - House of Theobroma

House of Theobroma, inspired by the late Maestra Oliva, helps Peruvian tribes transition to sustainable farming. They promote Theobroma genus superfoods, including cacao and Amazonian fruits. Discovered with the Shipibo tribe in 2014, cacao molasses is a superfood and medicinal delicacy. Their mission is to share these treasures, fostering sustainability and fair trade.

Smoked Cheddar - Golden Hooves

Golden Hooves award-winning Smoked Cheddar is delicious and planet-friendly. Driven by First Milk's 700 family-run farms using regenerative practices, they enhance animal welfare, protect soil, lock in carbon, and boost biodiversity. Recognised with B-Corp and King's Award for Sustainable Development, their cheese embodies taste, appearance, and sustainability.
