This award is open to food & drink producers, retailers, or wholesalers. This award celebrates a business who has launched a DEI (diversity, equality, and inclusion) initiative that has brought about positive change. If you have made DEI changes or commitments, you should enter!

Criteria: 

  • Have a lasting impact and fundamentally change the way your business operates

  • Demonstrate excellent practice, procedures and policies

  • Highlight how your business is implementing the DEI initiative and show evidence of how successfully it is becoming embedded.

Judging Criteria:

Our judges have selected their top finalists from our entries, with the winner being announced on Tuesday 10th September at Speciality & Fine Food Fair.

2024 Finalists

NEMI Teas Ltd

NEMI Teas, a London-based tea specialist with compostable tea bags, supports TRAMPOLINE Cafe, a social enterprise empowering refugees. The cafe's incubator program helps refugee chefs cover major costs such as rent, utilities and wages, allowing chefs to showcase their cuisine and gain
experience in running their own restaurant.
 

The Biskery

 The Biskery are a female-founded, female-run business prioritising diversity and equality. Their team, mostly working mums, include a black co-founder, a Ukrainian refugee, and a neurodivergent member. They support flexible work schedules to accommodate childcare arrangements.
