Not yet on the shelf

The ‘Not Yet on the Shelf’ Award is open to products that are currently in development or have been developed but cannot yet be seen on a retailers shelf. This is your opportunity to get your product in front of our expert judges from across the industry and gain valuable feedback, as well as the opportunity to win a stand at the 2025 edition of the Fair. The product should show innovation and should claim to fulfil a gap in the market.

Criteria: 

  • Open to non-exhibitors and exhibitors, UK and Internationally based 

  • Product not currently listed with any retailer 

  • Open to fully developed and products in development (a prototype will need to be supplied for judging should your entry reach that stage*)

Judging Criteria:

Our judges have selected their top four finalists from our entries, with the winner being announced on Tuesday 10th September at Speciality & Fine Food Fair.

Baba Ganoush - Persian Kitchen Foods Ltd

Rare @ Pasture Smoked Beef Pastrami - Fowlescombe Rare & Pasture Ltd

At Rare & Pasture, they craft their Smoked Beef Pastrami using high-welfare meat, much of which comes from their Devon farm, rejecting industrial production. They blend traditional methods with minimal processing, using natural ingredients and careful techniques. The result is a flavourful pastrami with a melt-in-the-mouth texture, smoky aroma, and delicate spicing.

Organic Cereal powered by Tiger Nuts - SUPERKEEN

Founder Caragh Keane created SUPERKEEN, the first tiger nut-powered cereal, inspired by her health struggles with Lupus. Awarded an innovation grant, she developed a nutritious cereal for all ages. Made from tiger nut and cassava flour, SUPERKEEN is aiming to be the most inclusive food brand in the UK, no matter what your dietary requirements are you can enjoy this delicious and nutritious cereal.
