RAIMUN GARNACHA
This is a small production of Grenache with a touch of Tempranillo. The grapes are sourced from small, old vineyards which are tended in a sustainable, eco-friendly way with minimum intervention. The resulting wine is aged for 8 months in 4,000-litre French oak foudres. This is a fruit-driven wine with a fresh, juicy, elegant character with silky tannins and a pleasant mouthfeel. A wine that offers superb enjoyment value.
95% Garnacha, 5% Tempranillo
Average age vines: 50 years old; small old vineyards in which an integrated viticulture is developed, respectful with the environment and minimal intervention.
Vineyard: Camino de Cigales, La Caseta and Matallana in Mucientes and La Asperilla in Cigales.
Harvest: by hand
Alcohol: 14.5% vol.
Ageing: 8 months in 4000L French oak foudres
Production: 2600 bottles
Characteristics: Cherry color with dark purple edges. Intensity of fresh fruit on the nose with hints of hay and a background of violet-type flowers. In the mouth it is very varietal and rich in nuances; the floral and fruity notes are perfectly perceived and a light spicy touch very well integrated. With an easy palate, the result is a friendly and elegant wine in which the red fruit persists in the retronasal phase.
Food: It goes well with red and white meats, as well as oily fish, barbecues, sausages and creamy cheeses.
Our comments: Recommended temperature around 15ºC -18ºC. To enjoy in the following 3 years after bottling. (Bottled Nov 2022)
Additional information: This wine is stabilized through a natural process, which can result in the throwing of a natural sediment when cold.
