LIA Extra Virgin Olive Oil
When, in 1975, Cristina’s parents inherited 19 olive trees in the Messenia region of Greece, they were inspired to cultivate a legacy. They, with their then young children, planted the groves that today produce Cristina’s oil. A combination of exceptional soil quality and a unique microclimate is supported by Liá’s dedication to traditional and non-invasive agricultural methods, and they have produced an oil with wonderful finesse and character. Previously awarded Best Monovarietal Olive Oil in the World in Flos Olei Guide.
The design on the bottle is inspired by a traditional olive press. This, combined with the modern, sleek bottle, speaks of both Liá’s connection with its past and its commitment to a future of innovation in Greek olive oil.
This oil is made exclusively with Koroneiki olives, a native Greek variety. The aroma of Liá is rich and sweet, with a ripe avocado background and a herby note reminiscent of crushed basil leaves. On the palate it has a satisfying creamy texture, with green almonds, more avocado and a pleasant red chilli finish. cayenne pepper finish. Some vibrant, fresh bitter - leaf flavours add structure and last long after swallowing.
