Devon's Finest Culinary Oil

Bell and Loxton are a new business that launched at the end of 2010, growing, pressing and bottling cold pressed rapeseed oil. The rapeseed is grown on the family farm in South Devon and then pressed and bottled in a brand new purpose built building, the project has been part financed by the European Development 2007-2013: Europe investing in rural areas. The pressing and bottling facilities have been built using consultants based at the Food Innovation Service (Duchy College, Cornwall) to comply with the SALSA certification standard and production processes and HACCP plan have accordingly been produced along SALSA lines.

Bell and Loxtons cold pressed rapeseed oil is a delicious, healthy alternative to other culinary oils; naturally rich in omega 3, 6 and 9 and less than half the saturated fat of olive oil. Grown and bottled in the heart of Devon it also has far fewer food miles than its Mediterranean counterparts. Since launching at the beginning of September 2010 it is already firmly established in a number of prestigious delicatessens and farm shops. It's stylish aluminium packaging is very striking and perfect for storing oil as it is kept completely in the dark. It is also better for the environment as it is lighter to transport and takes far less energy to recycle than glass.
