Great Taste Award for Our Gortnamona

Here at Cooleeney we're delighted to announce that we've just been awarded a 2 star gold award in The Great Taste Awards 2011 for our wonderfully velvety goat's cheese, Gortnamona.

Gortnamona is the creation of cheesemaker Breda Maher and her dedicated cheesemaking team at Cooleeney farm. It is a deliciously smooth flavoured goats cheese made from Iocally produced goats milk. Gortnamona matures to a creamy velvety texture with hints of mushroom on the rind.

It is a great cooking cheese as a starter or main course. It is an ideal alternative to dairy cheeses and is also suitable for vegetarians.

Gortnamona is an ideal match with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling.
