The Food Network started in the late 1990s when it became apparent that many food and food-related businesses around London would like to network with peers but often found it difficult to commit to regular meetings because of work pressure. So the idea of an electronic forum was established by Jane Milton. One immediate advantage was that this meant there was no geographical barrier to the Network and businesses from across the UK and some from Europe signed up. The group grew by word of mouth and reputation for helping businesses and being incredibly good value for money. |
