Sustainablity Policy

Event Sustainability Initiatives
Fresh Montgomery Ltd understands that our events and processes can have both a positive and negative impact on environmental, social and economic issues. Our intention is to provide event management that wherever practicable minimises the negative and maximises the positive impacts
In 2010 Fresh Montgomery obtained Certification for managing it’s events to BS8901 the British Standard for Sustainable Event Management. This British Standard has now been migrated to a new international standard ISO 20121. Fresh Montgomery were audited on-site at Specialty and Fine Food Fair 2012 by the British Standards Institute and are now ISO 20121 certified.
Fresh Montgomery is currently the only UK exhibition organiser to gain this accolade, which comes in recognition of the organiser’s achievements in running their events according to strict measurable guidelines and benchmarks.

What is ISO 20121? ISO 20121 is a management system standard for the implementation of the consideration for sustainable development in events. In other words, ISO 20121 is a way of working which helps you consider how to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, at every business decision point. The social, economic and environmental goals of sustainable development are interdependent and mutually reinforcing.
More and more, the world is demanding events that are environmentally friendly, ethically sound and of benefit to the economy. This page has been set up to keep you up to date with our progress and we would welcome your feedback or questions at any time. Please email your feedback to sustainability@freshmontgomery.co.uk
