At Harp & Lyre the team is passionate about serving only the finest quality leaf teas. It is a family-owned company with three generations of tea heritage and the producers are personally involved in every aspect of tea selection - from visiting tea estates to working with Master Tea Tasters to create the exclusive blends.

The signature blends are 100% Assam Orthodox tea and 100% Darjeeling tea, picked during the peak second flush season, exclusively from tea gardens in the Geographical Indication. Harp & Lyre select only the finest quality tippy golden leaf teas which have a high proportion of golden tips.

The Assam Orthodox blend is a bright coppery aromatic tea with a malty character and a full-bodied flavour ideal for breakfast with a medium to strong taste. The exquisite fragrant Darjeeling blend has a fine muscatel flavour ideal for afternoon and evening with a light to medium taste. All of the teas are available in luxury tea bags and loose leaf.

The luxury tea bags are made from SOILON - a 100% biodegradable woven filter mesh derived from corn starch. This natural material has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties and is certified with the 'GreenPla' mark of the Japan BioPlastics Association. All of the tea bags are filled with the same high quality tea that is used for the loose leaf tea. These unique bags give the leaves room to brew for a fine and flavoursome liquor.

Shortly after blending, the luxurious tea is sealed in recyclable aluminium foil to retain maximum freshness. The tea is then packed into a foil-lined, resealable stand-up pouch.
